The blade is particularly thin in the front and as such it really excels at puncturing, penetrating, slicing, and skinning. The leading edge behaves like a fillet knife and will bisect most materials on contact. A lot of inspired thinking went into the design of this knife. Released in 2000 it was a sort of millennium project for the Swedish manufacturer. The handle and sheath seem to take some inspiration from the Viking era, but the materials are thoroughly modern. The center portion of the handle is slightly soft, and has a textured surface for improved grip. This knife is a proven performer and has been a hot item amongst the hard-core-survivalist crowd. The Nordic style sheath is an awesome design that securely holds the blade on your belt or in your tool pocket for the fastest and easiest take-out and put-back available in the whole world of knives.
